One film at a time, Blue Lizard Productions will focus on and produce a Canadian independent film with an emphasis on great storytelling... a key element missing in many of today’s films. We'll work with both aspiring and successful writers and directors who need help getting their vision produced and on the big screen at festivals around the world to find a buyer or help move their career to the next level.
With film and video producer Scott Clevely and his experience working on the production team for Warner Brothers, Fox Television, Disney and Alliance Atlantis in the professional film and television industry, and his passion for filmmaking, it was only a matter of time before he steered his production company towards independent film production.
In 2008, Blue Lizard Productions made a commitment to expand their production company and enter the independent film production industry. In our first year we produced three shorts films in cooperation with UberRiff Films for first time writer director Steven Ahola and first time director David Hopkinson. We're currently in development on another short film with writer director Steven Ahola slated for production in 2009. Click on the movie posters to learn more about these recent films.
We're always looking for great short and feature length screenplays as well as having great screenwriters to write existing story concepts. We're also always looking for talented directors to direct films. Send us a synopsis of your film and we'll let you know if we can produce it. We can break down your script for production, put together a film financing plan, produce a production schedule, find a director, cast, crew, gear and produce your film. Whether we shoot on film or HD we can handle post production in our Final Cut Studio editing suite and once we have a final cut, we'll market and submit your film to festivals around the world and deliver as many fully packaged copies of your film on DVD and Blu-ray discs as you need. We're turning dreams into reality.
As momentum builds with our short films, the development of independent feature length films will create investment opportunities for venture capitalists and other investors who are interested in investing in the Canadian independent film industry – and reaping the often huge financial and personal rewards.
